Appliance Expert Repair Service

Cooker Repair and Oven Repair Service

We provide a comprehensive repair service for most makes of Cookers, Ovens, Hobs and Hoods .We carry a high level of spares stock meaning it is very likely that the appliance can be repaired on the first visit. If the part is not held on the van it will be ordered at no additional charge for a second visit.

Our service is focused on appliance repair, although we do offer a comprehensive appliance exchange service, it is not our primary aim to sell you a new appliance as it is with a service provided by a shop.

Most faults on Cookers, Ovens, Hobs and Hoods are fixed by replacing small inexpensive parts, some examples are:

  • Standard Fan Elemant £32 +VAT
  • Standard Fan £45 to £67 +VAT
  • Standard Thermostat £35 +VAT
  • Standard Hinges £24 to £61 +VAT

Cookers, Ovens, Hobs and Hoods usually last between 10 and 20 years as they don't contain any very expensive parts that could lead to the appliance being beyond economic repair.

As Cookers, Ovens, Hobs and Hoods last so long it is often part availability that makes an appliance unrepairable, if that is the case we just charge for diagnosis.

We don't repair Gas Cookers, Ovens, Hobs, but if you contact us we can recomend a local business that can help.

So, if you are looking for a reliable, professional and hassle free domestic appliance repair service in the GU postcode area, look no further... and book with ApplianceExpert.

How we do it

When the engineer arrives he will diagnose the problem and let you know the cost of parts required and get your agreement before fitting them.

When repairs are complete an electrical safety test is made using calibrated equipment and following IEE Code of Practice for in Service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment - 3rd Edition.

The engineer will then clean up and functionally test the appliance, he will fill out a service report which is also the invoice, the report will include details of:

Charges and date
Work done, parts fitted
Electrical safety test readings

Warranty: Parts replaced carry 12 months parts and labour warranty (this excludes appliances used commercially).

Will the engineer have the part with him? A high level of parts stock means we fix most appliances on the first visit, this makes our repair service more cost effective and convenient for our customers, however if the engineer does not have the part available on the service van, he will order the part, when the part arrives at ApplianceExpert and has been checked the office will call and arrange an appointment to fit the part, there is no extra charge for the second visit.
